Every February for years I thought about going to Philadelphia for the Flower Show. Then, I thought better about flying north in the dead of winter. This year, I saw the ladies from Twigs Terrariums in Brooklyn would be there, and decided to pack my snow boots and grab a plane to the City of Brotherly Love to meet them. Katy Maslow was manning the booth when I dropped by. She was surprised to learn they had a fan who travelled from Memphis! Katy and Michelle specialize in small moss terries with unusual tiny figurines I could never find in any of the model shops and catalogs. Turns out, they sculpt them to meet the special requests that their customers have made.
